The universe has interesting timing sometimes. This quote popped up on my Timehop this morning and felt fitting for where things are right now.

I’m far from perfect, but I do try to live in a way that feels genuine, authentic, and aligned with what I believe is right. So I wanted to clarify a few things.

The decision to step away from my previous company was incredibly difficult. The relationships I built with customers and teammates over the years mean a great deal to me, and leaving was not something I took lightly.

My intention has been — and will continue to be — to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Yesterday I personally reached out to my active customers to introduce them to their new Brand Partner and shared their upcoming order details so everything can continue seamlessly.

I also let my team know I had made the decision to step away. My initial message was intentionally vague, and after receiving a few concerned replies about my health, I sent a follow-up simply to reassure everyone that I am healthy and doing well.

Because of my agreement with my previous company, I’m not able to share information about my next venture with individuals who are currently associated with that company for a period of time. Out of respect for that agreement, I will honor those terms.

I wanted to share that here publicly so expectations are clear.

I’m incredibly grateful for the years, lessons, and relationships that came from this experience.

And because I often use my posts to share what I’m learning along the way, here’s a small PSA: it’s wise to fully understand the agreements we enter into in any professional relationship. Sometimes the terms extend beyond when a business chapter ends.

While this transition hasn’t been easy, it has also brought clarity that this next step is the right one for me.
