A Story of Grit, Healing and Choosing Joy Anyway…
A Gentle Reminder to Stop Waiting for Someday

A Memoir About What Happens When Life Knocks You Sideways—and You Choose to Rise

It didn’t begin with a dramatic moment.
It began quietly—subtle symptoms, lingering questions, and a deep knowing that something wasn’t right.

She tried to trust the reassurances.
She tried to believe the tests.
She told herself she was probably fine.

But some instincts should not be ignored.

This is the story of what happened when she finally listened—and how that choice changed everything.

The Teaser

Her journey didn’t unfold in a straight line.

It wove through moments of doubt, waves of intuition she couldn’t ignore, and the quiet

ache of knowing something was being missed long before anyone said the words out loud.

In More Than Lemons, Jennifer Gagnon brings readers into the deeply personal terrain

between the first whisper that something is wrong and the moment life forces you to face

the truth. She reveals the emotional landscape women often walk alone—where fear, hope,

strength, and uncertainty tangle together in ways that change you.

This memoir lifts the veil on what it feels like to keep searching for answers when your

body is sending signals no one else seems to hear.

But this isn’t only a story about illness…

It’s about living life fully.

Finding solace in the mountains.

Doctors who were lifelines.

Finding strength when you aren’t sure you can.

And a journey through a deeper understanding and quiet awakening within.

Told with warmth, honesty, and surprising humor, this is a story about resilience,

transformation, and choosing joy even when life hands you a whole bunch of lemons.

Customer reviews

Jen’s book is both inspiring and informative. Her writing style is open, optimistic, and grounded in gratitude, blending clear technical explanations with an engaging, conversational cadence that makes the reader feel personally guided through her experience.

She does an excellent job illustrating how frightening and overwhelming major health challenges can be, while emphasizing the importance of self-advocacy—listening to your instincts, asking questions, and seeking additional opinions when something doesn’t feel right.

The book provides a clear, accessible understanding of breast cancer and available treatments, while thoughtfully addressing the deeply personal decisions women face and the immense physical and emotional endurance required to see treatment through. Equally impactful is her acknowledgment of caregivers and family members, whose roles are often overlooked despite their profound involvement.

The final section, which serves as a practical “playbook” for approaching life, reinforces meaningful principles such as adjusting expectations, continuing to show up through discomfort, and choosing gratitude as a daily practice. Overall, this is a compelling, encouraging read that offers both insight and hope to a wide audience.
