About Jennifer
Jennifer is a wife, proud mama to two adult kids, and a two-time cancer survivor (three, if she counts the numerous skin cancers along the way) with zero interest in waiting for “someday.”
A former school counselor and substance abuse prevention specialist, Jen has always been drawn to helping people navigate hard seasons with honesty, curiosity, and courage. Her own experience with colon cancer in 2011 — followed by breast cancer and a double mastectomy in 2022 — permanently reshaped how she understands time, health, and what it means to truly live.
Those chapters became the foundation for her book, More Than Lemons — a reflection on resilience, perspective, and the unexpected growth that can emerge when life does not go as planned.
One year after her mastectomy, another cancer scare led to a radical hysterectomy, abruptly shifting her body into surgical menopause. What followed was not only physical upheaval, but a frustrating and eye-opening post-cancer care experience that left her searching for clearer answers. That season marked the beginning of her advocacy work and deepened her commitment to women’s health — particularly around hormone balance and informed decision-making after breast cancer.
Today, Jen is a wellness advocate and outspoken voice for those who want better conversations about their bodies, their health, and the options available to them.
In that same spirit of refusing to wait, Jen and her husband began traveling the U.S. in their camper in 2020 — exploring nearly every state (yes, even driving to Alaska from New Hampshire) and parts of Canada along the way. The reflections and perspective gained by both the road and her health journey live here — encouraged by friends who kept saying, “You need to share this.”
At its heart, this page exists to inspire you to stop postponing the life you want and show up more boldly today — while you still have the choice.
